The owner of any dog or cat kept, maintained or located within the village shall within 30 days of the dog or cat being within the village shall comply with all applicable rules for vaccination registration according to current Will County Animal Control regulations.

The owner of any animal shall not permit any animal to defecate on any public place, public way, or upon private property unless the owner immediately removes and properly disposes of such excrements.

(B)  It shall be unlawful for the owner of any animal to fail to immediately remove excrement left by the animal on the property, whether public or private, not owned or possessed by the person.  The excrement shall be removed to a proper receptacle located on property owned or possessed by the owner.

(C)  An owner of any animal shall not allow excrement to accumulate in any yard, pen, or premises in or upon which the animal is confined.

(D)  This provision does not apply to any person who is handicapped and is utilizing a seeing-eye dog.

No person shall house, keep, maintain any animal or allow to run at large any domestic animal of the species known as horses, mules, cattle, sheep, goats, swine, or domestic fowl of the species of geese, ducks, turkeys, pigeons, and chickens, on any property located within the corporate limits of the village.

No owner or person shall keep, maintain, harbor, permit or allow more than three dogs or cats or any combination thereof, per dwelling unit.
