Contractors working in the Village of Frankfort are required to obtain a Village-issued contractor's license each year. Licenses will be issued following the submission of all required documents:
Licensing Requirements (General Contractor / Sub-Contractor)
1. Complete and Signed Application
2. Application Fee: $150 / $75
3. Copy of valid Driver's License
4. Certificate of Insurance (original)
General Liability: $1,000,000 / $500,000
General Liability: $1,000,000 / $500,000
Auto Liability: $500,000 / $200,000
Excess Liability: $2,000,000 / $1,000,000
Excess Liability: $2,000,000 / $1,000,000
Workman's Comp
& Employer Liability: $100,000 / $100,000
& Employer Liability: $100,000 / $100,000
5. Permit Bond (original): $25,000 / $15,000
(issued by a company authorized by the State of Illinois)
6. Copy of State License, when applicable.
7. Independent Contractor Affidavit, when applicable.
Violators are subject to a fine up to $500 per day.
